Can you really make the big money? The short answer is yes. However, most people don't. According to an Inc.com article on direct sales, the median income for an MLM rep is about $2,400 per year. That same article profiles a mom who makes $300,000 per year. Taylor researched Nu Skin and cited a 2008 case study which showed the number of people achieving Blue Diamond status (the highest level of earnings) was 0.14% - not even a half of a percentage point.
I’m a Rodan+Fields Independent Consultant. I love the company, as you’re not required to have parties, or carry any inventory!!! The best part, is that the majority of your work is done online through social media!!! The Today Show recently did a segment on Rodan+Fields!!! Check out my site, and feel free to contact me with any questions. The BEST decision I’ve made in a long time ‼️.

I partnered with a Health and Wellness company that has been on the BBB with an A+ rating for the last 28 years. Their products are free of harsh chemicals and believe it or not are products that absolutely every person uses in their homes, just healthier and safer versions of cleaners, beauty products and now their weight loss line. Our entire business can be done online, from hosting presentations to enrollments and even our trainings are online. Even our customers earn money, not just our employees! What could be better? Healthier, safer, make money using, make money sharing, completely safe around children, and the company is soooooo supportive. I had an issue with one of business partners and her enrollemnt she was trying to get signed up, I literally hopped on the computer and sat in a chat with a customer servie representative from the company and they figured it all out in a matter of minutes. This is a truly residual income business, I am still making money for my first product introduction in June of last year, that is almost a year of getting paid for the same thing every month!!!! This company could not be any more mommy friendly with hours that work around when you need them, easy access to support and a system so easy your kids could make the money for you! Check out my webpage http://www.changingyourfuture4ever.com or contact me directly for more information collista.lewingdon@changingyourfuture4ever.com and lets change your future for ever!
Primerica Financial Services – This is the only financial services company to be listed under the top ten MLM companies in the world. They have an impressive track record in the industry. The company is mainly active within the North American territory. Primerica Financial Services does over $2 billion on an annual basis. It is one of the top MLM companies in the world.
Talk about heavyweights in the industry! Tecademics is what we call a digital company, and quite befitting because they have one the most extensive digital marketing training programs around to offer.  The founder, Chris Record, who used to be at Empower Network and was highly acclaimed there, launched Tecademics after he left that company.  This digital training arrives with a bigger price mark, but it’s not even close to what you’d have to pay for a university degree.
"Motherhood is hard, and it's really hard to find time for friendship honestly, so when someone you think is a friend is actually trying to sell you something — that hurts," said Fortin. "Our MLM friends legit love the products they sell and need to make money. We get that, but let's please be genuine about our intentions with one another up front."
The sales force needs to be armed with incredible product. Selling is an extremely hard sport. When the sales force has inadequate product, their jobs are made that much more difficult, which then has corrosive affects on the company when people resort to cheating to move sub-par product. Learn from Toys R Us: if similar products can be obtained elsewhere at comparable prices, bankruptcy is inevitable.
I have had the pleasure of being a designer with origami owl for almost a year and it has truly been a blessing. The product sells itself. The startup fee is a low $150 and you make that much if not more on your first jewelry bar. You make an amazing 30-50% profit on the product which is unheard of. If you have any questions feel free to email me deedeeslockets@gmail.com or check out my website Deedeeslockets.origamiowl.com
Well think of your grandma, remember her perfume or hand cream…chances are she probably got it from Avon and that’s kind of their reputation.  But don’t misjudge the number of grandmas that bought from Avon.  This company is the one that approached the yearly revenue of Amway with a cool $5.7 billion dollars.  But what goes up must come down…their sales have been declining over the last 5 years, and this company just sold their North American branch after quite a few years in the business.
Perfect reply That’s exactly what gives network marketing a bad name. Sheesh. If you find something you’re passionate about then go for it. But first ask, how many people can you personally find who have replaced their income at such n such a company? I’m grateful to say I have hundreds of dōTERRA advocates who have, and who go about it with integrity. Thanks for all the research, it was fun to read. I’d recommend looking at retention as well sometime.
It's a typical workday in the Fiscella home: Ginny, leader of Silpada jewelry company's top sales force, makes phone calls in her home office, while husband Doug handles her administrative tasks from his laptop in the kitchen. The arrangement gives him time with daughters Caroline and Molly and frees Ginny to focus on what she does best—selling, recruiting, and motivating her team.
Apparently, he did everything he was asked, from buying monthly training products to attending conferences, which can get expensive. Today, those costs are greatly reduced. The Internet, online training, flat-rate long distance and/or cell phone service, and free and affordable online marketing have made building any business, including MLM, much more affordable.
The trunk cost has varied a lot since the company started just 11 years ago, and there have been seasons it was as much as 4K for the 4 month selling season to purchase the trunk - which is *samples* of what they sell, not inventory. You get one of each piece (does not include home, toys or luggage.) the sizes are varied and the same for all reps - you don’t get to select the sizes you want your samples in.
The low cost often lures people in without doing their research. People make many mistakes when starting in MLM. Some don't research the company or product. Others don't read the contract they sign. Many newbies rely on the information provided by their sponsor. This is a problem because even the best sponsor won't be able to cover every little detail, and of course, some sponsors fail to disclose everything (in which case, you don't want that sponsor). Problems people experience in MLM due to failure to research or study the contract is their fault, not MLM.

Direct Sales— This is one of the most common ways of making money for stay-at-home moms. Direct selling is simply selling another person’s product or service to receive a percentage of the sale (commission). This has enormous potential, and can easily help you earn money online. A word of caution though — before you join any business opportunity, investigate the company, make sure the product is available and reliable, and ensure you have a good knack for selling. Stella & Dot is one of my favorite direct sales opportunities.

Kierstin, I used to sell Posh, but let it go this year due to being too busy to keep up. I will forever be a user of Never Grow Up Serum and Creme, Moisture 911 and many of the other products!! I have been complimented on my fine line wrinkles around my eyes going away from using these products. I love them all!! Mask, lip balms, lip scrubs, BFYHC, and more!! GREAT COMPANY and LINE OF PRODUCTS!!!

Forever Living – Forever Living is based in Arizona in the USA. The company mainly deals with weight loss, personal care, skincare and nutritional supplements. The company is mainly focusing on the North American market where its major share of clients are based in. Forever Living was able to generate more than $1.7 billion on an annual basis recently. This is one of the best multi level marketing companies in the world currently.
I’ve also learned to lead in Mary Kay and become much more empowered as a woman. I’ve got a business I can do from anywhere, and one I’m proud to share with my friends and family. I’ve learned to help other women start their own businesses and share tools and tricks that have helped me have success. My unit grows as a team and works toward becoming a successful group of Mary Kay consultants. The Mary Kay products are known and loved by many so it’s fun to share all the new beauty and skincare lines as well as the cherished standbys that customers love.
There are a huge number of MLM companies out there, so it can be overwhelming to know where to start. However, there are a handful of top-rated network marketing companies that consistently receive top marks from both employees and customers. If you’re interested in getting starting in the world of MLM, working with a reputable, successful company is the best place to begin.

Is there any direct sales for hair products and styling? I’m having the hardest time trying to find a company that does that. I would like to be a consultant of health and wellness and fashion under one website. So sell make up, skin, jewellery, hair products and healthy living bit am having a hard time finding hair stuff to complete this idea. Any suggestions? TIA

I looked around and couldn't find any solid information on how much it costs to start up with J.R. Watkins or what you must sell to remain active. However, I did find some information that suggests it's $40 just to become a "member" and the price goes up from there for start-up kits. My advice is to visit the site and request information on the appropriate form.
Looking compliant is easy. Building a CULTURE around compliance is hard. Building a culture requires doing more than paying lip service to compliance. It requires full buy-in at the corporate level to teach and enforce the important policies. It requires field leaders committed to responsible growth, and corporate leaders that avoid saying things like “the lawyers make us do this.” And finally, it requires constant investment.

Nikken is an MLM company created in 1975 by Isamu Masuda with the main goal of producing effective wellness solutions. Its first product, The Magstep, was focused on solving body fatigue and sore feet problems. In 1989, the company expanded to North America and has since entered new markets (countries) all around the world. The company makes about $9 billion in revenues annually.

In just 30 years, Melaleuca has grown from a little startup in rural Idaho to a billion-dollar enterprise doing business in 19 countries around the globe. It has become one of the largest catalog and online wellness retailers in North America. And it is the largest manufacturer of consumer packaged goods in the Northwest. Today, more than a million customers shop with Melaleuca every month.

Well they were hot…this company was caught in the act and had some shade thrown their way after they were found to have been over-inflating their health products for consumer purchase.  But really though?  What company do you know that doesn’t do this in the MLM health industry? It seems like a common practice, even if its “just a bit,” so they are able to pay out commissions made.  Some perspective for the shade…their fiber product was 900% more costly than “leading alternatives” and their Trioten protein blend was 600% more pricey as well when comparing their products to companies such as Herbalife and Shaklee.
We have 3 SMART products that work! We started with a smart coffee with ingredients to help with mental clarity & focus, energy and weight loss. Eighty-three percent of the population drinks coffee and for those that don't we have a new SMART cocoa that is simply delicious. We also have the same active ingredients in a capsule form for those wanting that convenience. Think about it…. how many other products can reach 100 percent of the population?
They also offer a $100, $500, $1000, $3500 products which they offer 100% commissions on.  The great thing about Empower Network is their products are training products.  You can buy their products to build ANY network marketing company out there.  Without Empower Network, I wouldn’t be making the money I am today with the knowledge and skill set to succeed online as well.
Hmmm, what should I say about this company, well it still seems like they are far from “the finest and most-respectable retail energy provider in America,” I feel this way because it was just a few years ago that they were dealing with a class action lawsuit.  But when you have $1.5 billion in revenue in the bank from your global business, a lawsuit doesn’t really seem to break your stride.
Delicious, yet simple and easy to prepare, that's the vision behind Tastefully Simple's gourmet food line. Consultants can make money through in-home shopping parties, selling products, and sponsoring other consultants. The startup kit is $170 and consultants earn 30 percent in commission. Tastefully Simple is a member of the Direct Selling Association.
This "faith based" home décor company may be kind of a niche market (the majority of it's products are plastered in bible verses and spiritual inspirations) but marketed towards the right social circle, Mary and Martha home parties might appeal to brides-to-be looking to decorate their new abode or you might try throwing virtual parties around the holidays.
Hi everyone, we have a great opportunity that we have been working with for a couple of years and it is really paying off each month. I’ve written ad nauseum about the idea of offering special, confidential deals with “elite” networkers. Confidential deals occur when a company provides extra incentives to lure experienced networkers from another company. The incentives take many forms, but usually involve up-front money, preferred placement in the genealogy, enhanced earning potential in the pay plan, etc. If you look historically at the companies that have been aggressive with deals, theres always a massive POP followed by a massive DROP. Who gets hurt? The average distributors that signed up under the pretenses of joining the “next hot thing.”

Ladies (and gents) all across the country are earning extra income and creating sustainable home businesses for themselves and their families by selling products to their friends, family and community. Gone are the days where we had to rely on a college degree to earn a sizable income. We are now able to start businesses in less than one week if you’re fast. But, if you’ve never done it before, how do you start your own business? And, how do you make your business successful?

Backstory: Leah discovered Celebrating Home at a school PTO event, while living on Grand Forks Air Force base in North Dakota. Having just finished chemo for cervical cancer (she's in remission now), she hosted a party for fun. While it was winding down, her husband, David, 32, came in from his second job and said, "You could sell that stuff." Leah laughed it off, but David encouraged her to try. "He felt I needed something positive after being so sick," she says. When offered a start-up kit for half price as part of a special promotion, Leah bought in and lined up events with friends on the base, showing how to cook quick meals and set beautiful tables with the stoneware.

Tastefully Simple is a food product business for easy cooking. Every food product in here requires 3 or less ingredients! And most of the time it’s things you already have in your cabinets/ ice boxes. What I like most about tastefully simple is its SIMPLE. I don’t cook and I promise you that! Tastefully Simple is the easiest and yummiest way to get dinner on the table. We have Drink buckets for the summertime parties – Just add Vodka or Tequila. You can also just make them into kid’s drinks, the alcohol is not added ‘til you add it! We also have our famous Beer Bread that you don’t have to necessarily use “beer” you can use soda pop also! Life's Abundance sells products that help consumers (cats, dogs, and humans) live happier, healthier and longer lives. Field Reps (Consultants) earn commission on commissionable products, as well as startup, sales, and team building bonuses. According to this article, the startup fee is only $29.95 and there are no monthly sales quotas, and your website is free. Life's Abundance has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Okay, we have a return to network marketing roots (can you remember the days of Tupperware parties…no? Well I’m not sorry to tell you there’s a reason for that).  Products for your kitchen, cooking demos, and an abundance of mommy bloggers.  Well homemakers are still the key demographic for this MLM, because they are looking for flexibility.  It’s not surprising to anyone that this company has done so well, but what is notable is that even Warren Buffet saw this company and decided he wanted a piece of the pie.

I just started selling for one of the top 15 and I went in knowing that this was just supplemental cash and nothing that would support my family. I spend 15 minutes (mostly from my phone) a day on my business and am happy with what I’ve done thus far. If it covers groceries and some extras like clothes or shoes, I’m good. If I start to become even more successful, great. It’s my competitive nature to want to out rank others, so I find it to be more of a personal challenge than thinking I’m going to get rich and stay rich. I appreciate the article and the no BS attitude.

I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed in this post, however the idea behind this article was actually to come from the perspective of a stay-at-home mom so it is indeed an opinion and not necessarily a "fact based" article. You're right, from what I can find currently, the startup price to join It Works! is $99, not $100. I will update that in my article. I found that information on an unofficial It Works! blog called WrapItLoseIt.net where I read that the best starter package retails for $499. When I checked out the official It Works! website I was unable to locate any information directly from the company that indicates the actual startup costs of joining the company which I find frustrating as I'm sure others do as well. Would you mind posting a link to that here so others can find quick and clear information on It Works! without having to dig?
Thanks for this list. Loved seeing Monat as #1! I am a Market Partner for this company and the money is crazy good because the products are awesome. I was disappointed to see Plexus at #28 and I wasn’t impressed by what you had to say about them. Plexus is NOT a weight loss company. Their products promote a healthy gut and they are clinically proven to decrease inflammation and balance blood sugar. Weight loss is a natural side effect of body balance. The products work and there are a lot of people I know personally making good money with Plexus.
Then what? After training, teens consult with their mentors for a year, corresponding twice a month. "It's not just about business," says Nakia. "They cultivate life skills like goalsetting, decision-making and money management." The objectives mesh perfectly with the company's mission to empower women of color, and Soul Purpose is rolling out the ESPY mentoring program nationwide. "This prepares teens for the future," Nakia says. "I was a teen mom who struggled at times to make ends meet. I believe in teaching kids how to become financially independent."

A new project hitting the list, because it will have a huge following no matter what.  We know that crowds of affiliates from other MLMs will tail over to this company. Why? Well this is a BK Boreyko’s business, the same person who had just dealt with the FTC with Vemma.  And there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s planning to make another public attempt.

Yes, you might want to learn the overview of it so you’re knowledgable and understand how your checks are getting formulated, but I’ve met too many successful networkers who can’t explain comp plans to spend any real time on them. When people ask questions, I refer them to the documentation that’s available and ask them if they’re ready to start a business they can work from home – even online in most cases.
I hardly feel like I chose Trades of Hope at all. It more or less chose me. I was a stay at home mom to two baby girls – ages 3 and 9 months at the time – when I started to feel like I hit some sort of wall. You know the one where you realize you haven’t changed your shirt in an insanely long time or had a conversation with an actual adult? I had graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English & Sociology with a concentration on Race Relations three years prior, and although I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to “be” I would often tell my husband that I just wanted to be an advocate for someone. Never in a million years did I think I would find my calling in Direct Sales. When I came across Trades of Hope at a church fundraiser I was taken with their mission, and it didn’t take very long for me to realize that this was exactly what I’d been looking for – a way to do what so many of us want to do – stay home to raise my babies while making an impact on things that were making me sick inside, like sex trafficking, poverty, lack of education for girls worldwide, etc. And I was going to get paid for telling these incredible stories, educating the public on fair trade, and wearing beautiful handmade jewelry?! I was instantly in love with it. My husband was a little bit nervous that this was too good to be true, but two years later, he is high-fiving me in the hallway when I hit my career goals (yes I said career!), and sending me off to Haiti this October to meet my artisan partners there.
I appreciate this comment. I’m a doTERRA gal. When I signed up I said I’d never sell. I just wanted to buy and use the oils. Then because of my love for them, people started coming to me for education and asking where they could get oils. So now I sell them. I’m not a sales person. I can’t bug my friends about stuff. But I’m growing this business because I truly believe in the products and use them every single day. I may not ever become rich from this and that’s OK with me. I won’t consider it a failure. Every person I help is a success in my book!

I am a Pink Zebra consultant, which is a home fragrance company. Their sprinkles are a unique scented wax melt that allows the consumer to combine fragrances to create her own custom blend. WHEN NANCY CRAMER WAS A young mother, she wanted to stay at home with her kids. It wasn't long, she says, before the multilevel marketing community found her and got her on board to start selling a line of vitamins and skincare products. She was intrigued by the sales pitch: She could be at home with her kids, make extra income on the side, and all she had to do was call 10 people per day.
I believe the ones that don’t make it in the industry (if they chose a good one) don’t give it enough time (like you said they quit before a year is up) and commitment to doing what it takes to grow. I don’t spam FB and only 2 family members order product but I have at least 100+ home school moms making >$2000/mth. Some team members make more, some less. It’s what they put into it (business wise not monetary)
Writing – Whether it is blog content, articles, or business letters, this way of monetizing your skills has become quite common. Micro-job sites like Fiverr allow you to post your skills as “gigs” that you sell for a price, usually a few dollars. Sites like Freelancer and Upwork are “business to consumer” sites where sellers are linked with buyers. Most of the time jobs are awarded based on skills, qualification, buyer needs, and bids made by the seller (you, the freelancer) to get the buyer’s work done. Other sites screen you by requiring you to provide a sample before you are graded and placed in the appropriate writer level based on your writing skill.
I’m with LifeVantage and TeaLife. Both great companies to work with. LV we have 6 ways of being paid..commissions plus residual income on something no one else has. Big pharmacy is trying to synthetically create what we have in drug form that will have side effects. But we are natural. TeaLife is organic loose teas that are so yummy! 30% commissions on teas and 20% tea accessories. I order from both these companies as well because I believe in them 100%. If anyone has any questions please email me: dawnmahaney1@outlook.com

Hi there :) another great company to work for is Le-Vel. It’s the first company to ever have wearable nutrition that helped with mental clarity, appetite control and is time released.. We offer so many more Greta products and have helped thousands of people. It’s great for energy, body aches and pains, headaches/migraines and weight management and best it’s 100% natural, gluten free and gmo free. They also have a car allowance of up to $800 once you reach a certain amount a month.. Check it out http://www.thethrivedream.le-vel.com

Plexus Worldwide is an amazing company to work from home with, I never feel pressured to make sales, I am a product of the product which in return does the sales for me. The products are truly remarkable in that they are multi taskers and have had testimonial proof helping with so many health issues. No website fees, 11 ways to earn, no home parties. I can go on and on about this company I have great passion for! :)

In March I joined an MLM company and I’m lost… my first reaction to network marketing was I’m not a sales person, to which I was told it’s not about sales but about building relationships. The other thing that makes me crazy is I see a lot of folks who appear so fake with their bubbly “everything is coming up roses and bubble gum” that I cringe. I’m honest to a fault and happy but not giddy. I feel like I have writers block in that I’m not sure what direction to take to get my business going, the struggle is real right now… Any thoughts or suggestions I can take away.
I have a friend who is proposing I join Arbonne? She would be good to work with although I am not educated on all the MLM companies and don’t want to make the wrong choice. I also have a blog which I want to leverage and it seems like most of the health and wellness MLMs utilize hosted parties. Are there any that are more internet based that have had a long time track record! Thanks and sorry for all the questions!
There’s not necessarily a single answer to this question because your earnings depend largely on one important factor: you. If you’re willing to put in the work, and you are working with an MLM that fits your interests and passion, you’ll probably find yourself earning a pretty penny. However, if you choose an MLM that has a mission and products that you don’t have interest in, then your chances for success are far lower.
Most people find them extremely easy to apply. With that said, after one or two applications, the process becomes much easier and faster. They last up to 2 weeks on fingers and 6 weeks on toes. The key to getting a great application is proper nail prep. Please consult with your consultant if you are having problems or need help with your application. We can't help if we don't know. ♡

Oriflame – Oriflame is a Swedish based MLM company which does a good volume of business through its members spread throughout the world. The company mainly deals in beauty products and has a good presence around the world. It has an annual revenue of $1.9 billion. Oriflame is among the top ten multi level marketing companies in the world currently.
Although virtual parties would probably see some sales, this is one of those products you really need to sell at home-parties and through in-person-networking to break even. I personally can't see myself buying a gourmet edible product like this without sniffing it at the very least, and it might be a hard sell if most of your friends are still in the pregnant/breastfeeding stage since many teas and herbs are kind of a no-no during those times.
You, not stats, dictate your success. Like most things in life, success or failure mostly relies on the individual. Certainly, the MLM industry has a vast sea of reps who don't make much money or who quit, but there are reps who are meeting their income goals and some (a small few) are rich. The same could be said about bloggers and most other entrepreneurial ventures.
Always check the official website of the MLM program you are thinking about joining. You will find some helpful information on compensations and on the products you will be promoting. A high quality MLM program will update its official site regularly, feature their best sellers, provide sellers with helpful resources on how to make sales and build a down line and have an active online community.
As a mom of girls, I spend a lot of time thinking about the legacy I’m leaving for them. I want them to see me as a mom that loved them hard when I was with them, and then pushed past my fears and did hard things to love the world outside of our home. I am so proud of the work I do to empower women just like me to create better futures for their families, to send their own daughters to school, and I LOVE that my five year old is understanding that work and asking me more and more questions about it. This has created a global mindset in my home that I never expected, and a curiosity about cultures and different people that is just awesome to watch blossom. And honestly? Because what I’m doing is so much bigger than myself, when it’s time to do the daily tasks it takes to run a work-from-home gig, I find the energy and the inspiration to do it that I can’t imagine would be there if it weren’t for the women and the mission behind our products. I love our beautiful pieces. I love being a storyteller. I love being able to work 30 mins to an hour a day from my living room while my girls play. I love knowing that I am making a real and lasting impact on huge things like sex trafficking WHILE contributing to our income in a way that’s changing our lives too. It’s just all around the best job ever.
Beautycounter is a fast growing company that is perfect for someone who is passionate about healthy nontoxic beauty products and safe products for their family. It is an education based company that is striving to make change in the personal care and beauty product industry. Here is the link to my page http://www.beautycounter.com/andreakropf It’s a movement you would be proud to be a part of.
Appreciate the hard work studying this… Im apart of the #1 company on there Advocare… have been for 7 years and one of the higher paid single guys in the nation… I just have to disagree with “over priced Products” comment. There is a mark up on every product in the world… Our products actually work which is why those endorsers you mentioned turn down high level incomes with other companies to endorse us for a stipend of products per month. Advocare has numerous people making a great profit and even more just enjoying a product they would pay double what they do for to feel the way they do. Success rate isnt low my friend… Its just the quit rate is through the roof. Highly recommend everyone seeing this and you sir to watch “Rise of the Entrepreneur” by Eric Worre on Itunes to get some serious facts about the MLM industry. Thanks for all the research and blessings!
I do make money writing these articles and you're welcome to join HubPages and give it a shot too! Unlike direct sales, I won't make any money for referring you and I won't try to sell you anything but I think you would do really well here because you seem to like writing and researching. You can join for free and then if at any point you want some guidance you can ask the community for help. We all work together here! It's an awesome platform and even if a reader is unhappy with your work you still get paid so it's a solid situation.
I have tried Arbonne products. They're not life-changing, though I'll admit they're not only beautifully packaged, but they somehow feel extra luxurious in comparison to anything at the drug store. Because of the price, I wouldn't recommend trying to sell to your fellow mommy friends who are probably already feeling guilt about the air-freshener plug-in they bought at Wal-Mart. If you decide to sell Arbonne, branch out to friends and family with older children or even try throwing parties with the high school crowd where everyone gets to experience a facial and a foot soak. That's how you really sell this stuff.
My name is Lesley Mcquade and I am a skin care consultant with Rodan+Fields and I have been with the company for a year. We just launched in Canada in Feb but have been in the US for 6 years. We only do online sales and I help women chose the right regimen for them. We have 4 regimens for acne, anti-aging, red sensitive skin and sun damage. We have an amazing community of women, some earning enough money to retire due to our residual income model. We even have million dollar earners. We get designer jewelry, clothes, and purses and have a Lexus car program. Luxury trips to Maui, Greece, and more! Friend me on facebook, let's network!

Some 20.5 million people were involved in direct selling in the U.S. in 2016, according to the Direct Selling Association, the national trade association for companies that market products and services directly to consumers through an independent sales force. (While many direct selling companies use an MLM model, not all do, according to the DSA.) Recruits pound the pavement hawking everything from candles to essential oils and weight-loss drinks. Some popular, newer companies include Rodan + Fields (skincare products), LuLaRoe (apparel) and Scentsy (scented products).
I thought this article was fantastic. I currently work with an MLM and love it, but I definitely can see why MLM’s would have flaws. However, I also know for me it wasn’t about selling as much as it was SHARING. I have experienced more than a product, I have been able to share the gift of health and the gift of the business itself. I absolutely love it and people who join me in this mission are as passionate as well! I believe when we look at really loving people where they are and actually caring, success will come and not the other way around. That’s the only way I’ve been able to see it happen! Any who, thanks for the tips!
This is not a ringing endorsement for the entire industry.  Like any investment of time, money, and energy, people need to be aware of what they are getting into and do their homework.  That’s the primary reasons I began researching the topic by reaching out to regular everyday people involved in these types of businesses and who were willing to skip the hype and offer a transparent view of the programs and give their opinions as to whether this can be a realistic source of retirement income.
As with any business venture, it’s important to manage your expectations when signing on with an MLM. Marketing materials may sell you the idea of making good money without leaving your house, but business ventures like these take time to deliver a return on investment. Not every sales agent will be making $100,000 per year right away or even five years down the line. Be realistic about how much you’re likely to sell and how much you’re likely to earn.
