Reason you choose this company: Because I used the products for 5 years to lose baby weight and stay in shape and when I found out the company was recruiting direct sellers to promote the products and also to help coach their customers through the programs, I was all in! I stand by this company and their at home fitness programs 100%. I don't understand how you all are not MLM's if you get a benefit from the people below you. My model sounds like the exact same as Market America (can not build horizontally...you have two legs and can only build down.) You also only need 2 people to succeed with Team Beachbody and you are a success in any case if your fitness & nutrition improves as a result of participating.
As I write this I'm just a couple of weeks away from beginning our first year of homeschooling and I'm so excited. Why? Because learning toys and activities are even more fun when you're almost 30, apparently. Fundanoodle is a company that gives busy moms like homeschool moms the chance to earn some extra income selling products they themselves use every day, including interactive books and activities that give kids a chance to practice their reading, spelling and writing skills along with other important developmental goals.

When I first joined I only planned to be a consultant until we got back on our feet after my husbands job loss. But, I fell in love with the mission of the company, the products, and all of the friends I had made along the way. Plus no 9-5 job can compare to the flexibility of direct sales! Now, I have an amazing team who is truly helping make a difference in the world.
Our starter kit is $99 and we offer you the option of hosting a party in order to  put the hostess rewards towards the purchase of the kit. The average home party is a $500 party which would earn you $90 in free product that you could decide to cash in for a $90 kit coupon so the up-front investment is incredibly reasonable, and potentially free (minus tax & shipping).
This article is not trying to convince anyone that an MLM company is the right choice for them. It is intended to help women who are interested in joining a direct sales company to make an educated choice on which company to join. This is just the tip of the iceberg and should absolutely be used in conjunction with further research from additional sources.
I just wanted to give a shout out to my awesome direct sales company, Premier Designs!! We are a Christian based jewelry company selling high fashion jewelry at an affordable price. We make 50% commission off of every sale, and get paid immediately. We make 10% commission off of our 1st, 2nd and 3rd level downlines. Premier is an amazing company with the best customer service ever. The start up cost is a little higher than some of the other companies listed here, but you make it back within the first few shows. And we offer some of the most generous hostess benefits as well.
They also offer a $100, $500, $1000, $3500 products which they offer 100% commissions on.  The great thing about Empower Network is their products are training products.  You can buy their products to build ANY network marketing company out there.  Without Empower Network, I wouldn’t be making the money I am today with the knowledge and skill set to succeed online as well.
These brothers from Israel changed the minds of the entrepreneurs behind the company, Seacret Direct, when they managed to take the typical start up business from the kiosk (you know those booths in the mall) to the beyond and turned it into a global direct selling company worth millions of dollars.  These skincare product companies are pretty boring these days, but the company’s dead sea products originate with a 5,000-year-old history and a huge fan following.

As per Direct Selling Association, Avon and Amway are the top two but in my opinion the product range, the health benefits and the opportunity program my Network Marketing company offers, makes DXN one of best companies. Personally I am involved with DXN since 2003 and after traveling to 46 countries where we have offices, I found out that for any company to do good, one need solid products. We have over 100 products helping more than 7 million members globally. For more information, you can contact me or can watch my videos in the You Tube.

A group of health care and business professionals founded doTERRA Earth Essence in 2008. They shared profound personal experiences with the life-enhancing benefits of essential oils, and the MLM’s first offering of essential oils – 25 single oils and 10 oil blends – was then introduced. In addition to new oils and blends, product offerings include nutritional, spa and healthy living products.

LegalShield is an America-based business that sells legal service products using the MLM approach and is one of the oldest multi-level marketing companies in the US. It develops and sells pre-paid legal services through about 7,000 attorneys located all over the US. The company’s founder, Harland C. Stonecipher, started LegalShield in 1969 after being involved in a car accident.
Your goals. It's possible to become rich in MLM if you choose a good company and do the work. However, most MLM owners are looking to make a little extra to pay off debt or stay home with the kids, a goal a good many reach. A part-time direct sales business can help you reach modest goals. And once you start building your business, and learn the ropes, you can build it bigger if you want.

This can seem like an overwhelming task initially. Just because of the sheer volume of direct sales companies that are out there. Let's break it down into an easier task. I've found over the years from my own personal experience, as well as talking with 100's of other men and women in direct sales that by asking yourself certain questions, you can narrow down your search immensely. And take your time – mull it over. Sleep on it.

Melaleuca – Multi-level company Melaleuca is an American-based enterprise that does business in 17 different companies around the world and specializes in health and wellness. Melaleuca has over 1 million customers, and its mission is to enhance the lives of people so that they can reach their goals. The company generates over $1 billion dollars in revenue annually. Founded by Frank VanderSloot, Melaleuca has been in the wellness and health business since 1985 and is headquartered in Idaho.

Syrup, gravy, and salsa are just a few of the products offered by Wildtree under the premise that their condiments and spices are, "free of preservatives, additives, fillers and promote a healthier lifestyle." ... which is probably how they can convince you purchase a $12 spice blend. After looking through their product catalog and their business model I do think this looks like a good opportunity for those who have the time and the energy to devote to the company and selling Wildtree products.

Oriflame – Oriflame is a Swedish based MLM company which does a good volume of business through its members spread throughout the world. The company mainly deals in beauty products and has a good presence around the world. It has an annual revenue of $1.9 billion. Oriflame is among the top ten multi level marketing companies in the world currently.
I would really like to find a profitable at-home business opportunity, but selling is difficult. The family, friends and coworkers I have watch their money and won’t spend money on items that are very expensive, such as crystal, Pampered Chef, Yankee Candle, etc. Most people I talk to want low-cost items they can use everyday, ranging from house goods, food and clothing. I prefer catalog sales since it’s easy to bring with me anywhere I go. Although I do have a full time job, I’m looking to create a 2nd income so I can pay off some old debt and rebuild my credit again. If anyone can help, please let me know! I’m not looking to shell out money for kits that are very costly. Thank you! Please email Brian at briguyct at gmail.
Unlike many MLMs that sell products directly to consumers, Digital Altitude sells a business system to entrepreneurs in the form of courses and methods that teach them to effectively market their own companies. While many of the packages can cost thousands of dollars, Digital Altitude offers a $1 trial, making the risk to try its product very low for the consumer.
Good companies find ways to intelligently leverage technology. Thanks to Amazon and Wal-Mart, we’re all spoiled. We want what we want, we want it NOW and we want it delivered for free. Smart network marketing companies are eliminating as many barriers as possible to make it easier for consumers to place and receive orders. They’re finding ways to make it easier for consumers to connect via mobile apps, tell stories via social media tools, provide best-in-class web experiences and leverage as much data as possible to stay ahead of consumer demand. The corporate team also needs to leverage technology to enhance workflows.

I am based in Europe and i was asked by loads of DS companies to join them but i didnt like the residual paychecks (topline do nothing whilst others work)MLM aspects etc UNTIL Scentsy came to Europe – it has been a blast!! We made our 99 euro starter kit fee back in one party, built a team of over 310 people in 18 months, won an incentive to Las Vegas/ Annual Mentor Award and much more.
Hello, I loved reading all this info, it was so helpful. I want badly to get out of the 2 hour commute and hours of being stuck in an office. I am a maker, a fiddler, I need a change. I am an RN and very interested in great health products. I want to find a company I can love and be proud of the products. I have seen something called 7.2 wellness ( 7point 2) but have not found anyone actually using it or selling it. Has anyone heard of this one?

Agree with most of your comments. Born and raised in the corporate community, we never even considered a MLM until came across one after retirement. Looking back we would have looked seriously at the industry much earlier. In any event, we had one good run until management made a few very bad decisions…killing 40 % of our business. But now we’ve found a new home with WGN. Among the many differences is they’re a technolgy company operating as a MLM…go figure.
Melaleuca, Inc. is listed as a Direct Marketing Company. The company contracts with independent marketing executives who refer customers to Melaleuca that purchase its various lines of nutritional, pharmaceutical, personal care, household cleaning, and pet care products. They also offer travel, phone and credit card services. Customers receive discounts if they order a minimum monthly product supply, but are not required to maintain an inventory of products. The company states that it offers a “Satisfaction or Money Back Guarantee”.
Founded in 1998 by Carl Daikeler and Jon Congdon, Beachbody is the creator of the nation’s most popular fitness and weight loss solutions including P90X, INSANITY, Brazil Butt Lift, Slim in 6, Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs. Employees were invited to complete an anonymous and confidential survey. A certain percentage of employees at each company, based on size, had to complete the survey in order for the company to reach the threshold to be included. After the survey period was over, the team at Quantum calculated the responses to determine overall scoring and ranking. Only companies who met the threshold determined by Quantum as the baseline for a Best Places to Work environment were announced as Honorees for 2018.
Each company above is profiled in this supplement, with employees and executives sharing why they believe their company is a Best Place to Work in Direct Selling. All profiles are based on questions presented by DSN to companies. Quantum Workplace, our third-party vendor, conducted the research and compiled the results for this program (please see page 34 for more information about Quantum and the contest).

I am surprised not to see Thirty One on your list. I know you are hearing a lot about it locally but we are struggling to grow team members west of the Mississippi! Since your blog has nationally known any exposure would be great! The other KEY fact about Thirty one http://www.mythirtyone.com/amberjdavis is we are expected to triple in size this year! This is important if you want to promote to management in a DS company! We are only 10 years old and a baby in the industry! Starting Feb.16 YOU can start for $99 and receive a $99 rebate! Basically, start for free! I defiantly need to consider an ad with your page!
look if you go and search top MLM businesses, no matter what link you click on, the number one company is amway. Why everyone goes with different companies i don’t get it, check it out compare to mary kay. Here’s the thing though, I contract with amway, but my organization is worldwide. Mentorship organization. I feel which ever MLM business you choose, join a mentorship organization that is in that business. The reason why amway is number one is because of worldwide. it’s only 10% of everyone that is in amway, yet 90% of the 6 and 7 figure earners are part of worldwide…why? because they broken down the company and know exactly how to succeed and retire quicker than someone who tries amway on their own or joins another mentorship company. what’s the success rate? to those who do what others have done 100%. So at the end of the day, consider all of this. With amway and worldwide, it doesn’t matter how old you are, where you come from, ANYONE can do it. Mary Kay is a female company, good luck getting a bunch of single dudes to make it with that.
These nonsalaried workers may be stay-at-home parents, college students or part-time workers hoping to make money by selling products such as vitamins and makeup to their friends and family. But experts note that just selling products is typically not enough to make a profit, and workers are encouraged to recruit a "downline," a team of underlings from whose sales they also earn a commission, creating a pyramid-shaped compensation structure.
(Update: In April of 2017 there was an article posted about this company, so as of May 2017 it is unsure if this company has gone under.)  First off, to sign up and become an affiliate of the company you might do a double or triple or quadruple take at the startup cost (which is almost 4 figures).  However, you do get to truly set up your own business, because you can set the price on all the products you sell.  If you have that business talent to make consumers buy the products (which are legit btw) you can certainly make that start-up cost back in no time.  This company has also been achieving some high praise by being the recipient of many awards (including a growth award from the Direct Selling Association).
MLM restructures the traditional business model — manufacturer to retail shop to customer — such that sales agents working for the manufacturer sell directly to customers, bypassing the retail shop altogether. MLM companies can then convert customers into advocates for their products and possibly even sales agents. Because there is no retail store for the products they sell, MLM agents typically work from their homes, interacting with customers in the community or, more often, over the internet.
Faith Jewelry is a direct sales company that sells beautiful jewelry that is handmade by international refugees who fled to the United States. Jewelry is made from the finest materials around the world, including Swarovski crystals and Czech glass beads. For $195 you receive $505 worth of jewelry that you can pick yourself, and you make 50% commission off of sales. You also receive sales aids and coaching. Even better, you have a great story to share with your clients.
For more than 125 years, Avon has been a beauty leader creating products that customers love. Avon is one of the world’s largest direct sellers with more than $11 billion in annual revenue and over 6 million representatives in over 100 countries. Avon products include beauty, fashion and home products and feature their brand names Avon Color, ANEW, Skin-So-Soft, Advance Techniques and Avon Naturals.
Diets…fad diets, new diets, old diets…it’s an endless story especially in the 2000’s, and this company is one of those companies.  The FDA had a run-in with these guys and they are not in the greatest standings with the BBB either, which seem to be the norm with weight loss pills of the “magical results” variety.   Well the good news for this business is that they’ve managed to keep trending for 5 years (that’s a pretty good streak), and the company reps are earning a colossal 50% in commissions.
Well think of your grandma, remember her perfume or hand cream…chances are she probably got it from Avon and that’s kind of their reputation.  But don’t misjudge the number of grandmas that bought from Avon.  This company is the one that approached the yearly revenue of Amway with a cool $5.7 billion dollars.  But what goes up must come down…their sales have been declining over the last 5 years, and this company just sold their North American branch after quite a few years in the business.
I don’t care where doTERRA in ranked. The oils are good, but the company SUCKS. It is all built on big bloggers. Don’t have a big blog – you’re going to make pennies while others demand you make a minimum $100 a month order. The company itself has great customer service, but try to reach compliance or tell them that your uplines are making fake accounts or ordering off multiple people in the downline just to ensure they make bonuses and NO ONE listens. It’s supposedly geared to help the underdog succeed – this is a gimmick.
With so many of the fastest growing MLM companies pushing to have you join, it can get confusing when you’re looking at MLM products, compensation plans, where to get leads, marketing tips, and most of all – can I really make money with this? What you need to remember, is that the best MLM to join in your situation is going to come down to one thing – finding a product and a business you are excited about sharing!
The intelligent companies obsess over ways to get their salespeople profitable FAST. When distributors are profitable, they’re less inclined to quit and less inclined to complain to regulators. Profitability is defined by earning more than you spend. Profitability can be enhanced through customer acquisition models like 3 and free programs, sample products, trainings on how to move inventory, etc. It can also be enhanced by avoiding taxing the distributors with overly expensive (and oftentimes ineffective) training materials.
This company isn't cheap to join: the least expensive kit costs a whopping $499 and goes up to $1000.00 from there. Each starter kit contains everything you need to start your business plus products to familiarize yourself with the line and share with friends and family as you build up your clientele. The compensation plan isn't too simple either and you'll want to fully look it over before committing to the company, but if you're ready to hustle your butt and put your all into marketing Nerium's superior products then there's great potential to earn a steady and comfortable income.
Kali is a 100% certified organic, chemical-free tampon and pad subscription service. Kali is a known household name, which in turn helps you, as an affiliate, make more money! By referring the Kali Organic Tampon Subscribtion you are helping women get connected with better quality tampons and also earning referrals. Host parties about this product, mention is on social media with your affiliate code, and tell your friends and family.
Umm...ever heard of Amway? No direct sales / mlm list is complete without it. Founded in 1959, they are (and by a significant margin I might add) the largest global direct sales company in the world...#1. With over 450 exclusive products, 750+ patents and counting, best selling vitamin and nutrition line, top 5 skincare and makeup line, plus the legacy home products...come on now.
Because anyone can do it! I started the business after I had my 4th baby and was able to do so much of the business from my smart phone. But it was also easy to meet up with other moms for a play date and share the oils. Many moms are looking for natural options to help their families and essential oils are perfect. They can help babies sleep, give moms a natural option when they feel overwhelmed, help with the immune system, and so much more! Plus, it’s the type of product that people will continue to purchase without having to keep bugging them. doTERRA is one of the fastest growing companies right now and this really is the best time to start. In just 2.5 years, my husband was able to leave his engineering job thanks to doTERRA. And I did all that while staying home with my four kiddos. The opportunity is amazing!
I chose this company after 2 months of intense research. With a family of 5 I couldn't take an uncalculated risk:) The opportunity here was literally endless and undiniable and I wasn't afraid of the challenge to learn something new. I met in person people of all ages from across the world who were earning a great monthy income. I realized that the products are universal and I was also able to grow my art company online (Double bonus) from what I'd learned. I started eaning residual money in just two weeks from starting.

In order to find success with any of the top MLM opportunity, it comes down to finding a company that is the right fit for you. There is a lot to consider in the decision-making process. How long has the company been around? What is the compensation plan like? Is it an opportunity that you can feel passionate about? The answers to your questions will ultimately determine your future.

I’ve also learned to lead in Mary Kay and become much more empowered as a woman. I’ve got a business I can do from anywhere, and one I’m proud to share with my friends and family. I’ve learned to help other women start their own businesses and share tools and tricks that have helped me have success. My unit grows as a team and works toward becoming a successful group of Mary Kay consultants. The Mary Kay products are known and loved by many so it’s fun to share all the new beauty and skincare lines as well as the cherished standbys that customers love.
Breaking into the world of travel bloggers, hotel hoppers, and digital nomads with #wanderlust was one of the best ideas MLM ever had. Everyone out there wants to work remotely nowadays, and a huge portion of those people want to do it so that they can travel. So, a remote income opportunity with a travel MLM just makes sense. WorldVentures is hitting this niche hard, having been named one of the Inc. 5000’s fastest growing companies twice in a row.

Direct sales, multi-level marketing, and network marketing companies are everywhere right now! It seems like everywhere you turn on social media, one of your friends is trying to sell you something, right? While sometimes these companies get a bad name from the “product pushers” out there, direct sales companies are a great way for moms to make extra income, socialize, and have a job while spending time with their little ones. This post will dig into 10 of the best direct sales companies for moms.

Damsel in Defense is about equipping women with the tools to not only keep them safe but also to give them the confidence to know that they have a way out if they ever feel threatened. We are very excited about our affordable and adorable line of products. It is sometimes in the best interest of a seller to avoid revealing the downsides of an MLM Program so as to build their down line faster. Take the time to read reviews published by other sellers or to ask them questions via social media or on message boards but remember that MLM sellers might not be entirely honest with you if they want to recruit you in their down line and boost their revenues.

If you’re thinking about building your business online, this company is internet friendly. It’s not stuck in the 1980s with crazy rules that prohibit you from doing anything online. With your own free website you get your own affiliate links that you can promote on social media or on your website. You can also use the free capture pages and auto-responders.
If you're a weirdo like me who gets excited about a great deal on microfiber cloths, or feels the warm fuzzies while filling up a rustic galvanized bucket with chemical free suds, then you're going to love Norwex. From dryer balls and mattress sprays to chenille mop pads and cutting boards made from rice husks, Norwex's home and personal products offer something earth-friendly for everyone in your green-centric circle.

Keeping with the trend I have here, yes this is another MLM company operating under the nutritional niche; and it comes to us from Utah.  They have a specific product that’s help made them well-known: seed nutrition and the “black cumin seed,” which evidently is very potent for helping fight cancer cells and encourages anti-oxidant benefits, among other things.

If not, listen up. Wildtree offers a product that others will actually buy without much hesitation. Unlike earrings and body-wraps, you don't need to convince potential consumers that they need food. They do. And though the blends offered through Wildtree can look expensive, in reality it would take far more to create those blends at home. You're also opened up to a greater consumer-base than some companies can reach since men and women of all ages and all walks of life eat and therefore, cook.
I do make money writing these articles and you're welcome to join HubPages and give it a shot too! Unlike direct sales, I won't make any money for referring you and I won't try to sell you anything but I think you would do really well here because you seem to like writing and researching. You can join for free and then if at any point you want some guidance you can ask the community for help. We all work together here! It's an awesome platform and even if a reader is unhappy with your work you still get paid so it's a solid situation.
Then what? Within a year and a half, Ginny was earning $3,000 to $4,000 a month, doing two to three parties a week. However, not wanting to seem pushy, she wasn't recruiting her hostesses to sell. After her best friend signed up as a rep, and found she could finally afford to cover all her kids' sports activities, she told Ginny, "Shame on you for keeping this to yourself." That's when Ginny started recruiting anywhere and everywhere: at the supermarket, on vacation, even in restaurants. (When a fellow diner complimented her bracelets, Ginny gave them to her, along with an info kit. The woman became a rep a few weeks later.) By 2005, Ginny was making six figures annually from three parties a week and commissions on her team's sales. Meanwhile, Doug had changed jobs and was miserable. He decided to quit so Ginny could expand her business even more. His handling of car pools and homework has enabled her to achieve $1 million in cumulative retail sales and become the family's main breadwinner. Ginny admits initially feeling guilty about delegating "mom" tasks to Doug. "But I feel much more fulfilled now," says Ginny, "which is better for all of us."
Im not sure where you get your information but you are wrong on It Works. I have been with thr company 3 years now and have paid off all my credit cards and paid off my car in full. The start up cost is only $99 which you would know had you actually reasearched and looked at the site. Your comment about being sure to fail is way off. I haven't failed, my team hasn't failed and neither have those that I know personally making $100,000 per month. It Works is a Billion Dollar DEBT FREE company. Our CEO is awesome. Had you done full research, you would see the truth about how great of a company this is. Like ALLLLL DS companies, you get out of it what you put into it. If anyone says you're sure to fail, they failed themsleves, the company didnt fail them. Im very disappointed that this type of blogging isnt fact related but simply opinion bases.

Here's another skincare and makeup company. This one is totally perfect for busy moms who don't have time to shuffle products, carefully pack boxes for shipment or even host parties, because L'Bri's does it all for you while you hustle from home, on the road, and between your kids' appointments. If you decide to host a party, though, you have the potential to earn even more by pampering your hostess and guests with samplings of your own products, giving them the chance to experience L'Bri's natural lines of makeup, anti-aging serums and sunscreens.

My name is Lesley Mcquade and I am a skin care consultant with Rodan+Fields and I have been with the company for a year. We just launched in Canada in Feb but have been in the US for 6 years. We only do online sales and I help women chose the right regimen for them. We have 4 regimens for acne, anti-aging, red sensitive skin and sun damage. We have an amazing community of women, some earning enough money to retire due to our residual income model. We even have million dollar earners. We get designer jewelry, clothes, and purses and have a Lexus car program. Luxury trips to Maui, Greece, and more! Friend me on facebook, let's network!

I’m torn. I use Rodan+Fields but never considered being a distributor. Then a friend of mine introduced me to Jeunesse and got me fired up to be part of his team. I said “yes”. But now I’m wondering if the company is right for me because a) I read some negative stuff online about the company, the products, lawsuits, however the team is amazing! b) I actually really like what R+F has done for my skin therefore I feel I connect with the company more.
After months of research, I finally decided on Fundanoodle and became a Fundanoodle ambassador. Fundanoodle is an education readiness program (selling activity books and games) geared towards 3 - 7 years olds to develop motor skills and prepare them for success in school. The products were designed by pediatric occupational therapists and elementary school teachers. This product is a hit with the homeschool crowd, and many parents with children with special needs especially ASD have found these products to be very useful. However, Fundanoodle products are designed for all little learners!
The company. Too many people get lured by the hype, without stopping to consider the company or its product/service. What does the company sell and can you get excited about it? What are the compensation plan, marketing system, and policies, and can you work with it? Is it a member of the DSA, and through your research, been found to be a legitimate company?
I am with Mannatech, an 18 year old global home-based business in the exploding wellness industry which has over 1 million associates & growing, 70 patents, easy duplicable system in 20 countries including USA, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa, no deliveries, work around your own families commitments, full training, travel holiday incentives to be won, a rewarding business that makes a difference in other people's lives.... As well as your own.
Plexus Worldwide is an amazing company to work from home with, I never feel pressured to make sales, I am a product of the product which in return does the sales for me. The products are truly remarkable in that they are multi taskers and have had testimonial proof helping with so many health issues. No website fees, 11 ways to earn, no home parties. I can go on and on about this company I have great passion for! :)

All great companies! Another new company is Makeup Eraser! The reusable Makeup Eraser cloth allows you to remove ANY makeup with only water! Waterproof makeup, face paint, 3D lashes, and more! Great compensation plan! You can join as a distributor for as little as $50 or join as an affiliate for FREE! Visit my website to learn more http://www.sellmakeuperaser.com
What I found and started and now I love is related to healthy coffee that contains ganoderma. I am sure many of us is addiced to coffee that is why I like this business. :) I do not consider it as selling but rather helping people, families to avoid diseases and to drink healthy coffee. I am not a mother, yet and I am doing this online business besides my regular work in order to prepare for my motherhood and to be able to work at home in 1-3 years. So I am really glad of seeing the inspiring examples here :). Thanks again for sharing!

Jillian Chase is a US based company that is the brain child of a company that has been in business for more than fifty years with great success. With monthly promotions, bonuses, a fast start program and many levels to achieve even greater income level for everyone. Plus, you don’t have to deliver the product or be limited in where you sell. This company believes in providing the best in customer service and cares about the consultants who represent them. Not great at parties? That is okay, with Jillian Chase, you can sell individually or online. Yes, they have great rewards, too, for the Host or Hostess who does have the party. This company is very unique in that MEN really love the products. Take a look at the catalogue online and see why. Did I mention you don’t have to carry inventory? You still keep the beautiful pieces at incredible savings.

Everything Happy is a new Direct Sales organization that sells an amazing and growing collection of Children’s products. The company was started by a 7 year old boy who wanted to bring smiles to children all over the world and after watching his sisters play with their stuffed animals and blankies, he came up with the idea for Happy Blankie and lie of incredibly soft blankies in the shape of animal faces with huge smiles on them. As our company developed we added stuffed animals and clothing and plan to add much more into the future! But, the most amazing thing about Everything Happy is the Mission of One to Love, One to Give. For every item we sell, we donate one of the exact same item to a child in need. We have donated thousands of products across the US and all over the world.

Another nutritional MLM selling another magical superfruit with a marked up price tag. So what? Their story might not be interesting, but their bottom line is: they’ve expanded to 44 countries and counting after just over a decade in operation. On top of that, they provide extensive sales training and good commission rates to their reps, which is pretty rare nowadays.

Busting out into a world where you are met with travel bloggers, hotel jumpers, and digital wanderers, seems to me that #wanderlust had to be one the best ideas ever…out of the MLM industries.  A lot of people are willing to work far away and alone, and a big reason is because people want to travel and see the world. Therefore, a remote income business with a travel MLM company just seems like the right move.   World Ventures came out with a solid effort in the travel niche, and was named as one the incorporation 5000’s fastest growing companies 2 times in a row.
Hi. Great post and very informative as I did not know some of these existed. I would like to also add Arbonne to this list. My sister-in-law introduced it to me 3 years ago and it is still relatively unknown (especially since she was the only one I knew of that was talking about it and selling it). After two years of getting samples from here and hosting my own free facial party/girls night, I was hooked. The products are very impressive and all natural/vegan. I recommend everyone at least get a facial to try. We sell skincare, haircare, makeup, and even nutrition, all of which I have tried and highly recommend.

Usborne Books is an America-based direct sales company established in 1989 and is an extension of Usborne Educational Development/Publishing Corporation founded in 1973 by Peter Usborne. Usborne Books has been recognized a couple of times as one of the best small companies in America. Its mission is to provide economic opportunity while nurturing family values and to deliver educational excellence. The company generates about $9.6 million in revenues every year.

Hi JP, Your assessment of Melaleuca stating… “When you hit over a billy in annual sales, that’s reason enough to be on the shortlist. On top of that, they’ve been in the MLM game for over two decades, and they’re now the “largest online wellness shopping club” (basically just sounds like a fancy way of saying they sell a lot of miracle diet pills).” is VERY misleading and inaccurate. They offer “far more” products and services than weight control supplements. I have been a “customer” only of Melaleuca for over 20 years and can attest to the superb quality of their products. Please get your facts correct before posting inaccurate information. 🙂
Another thought - this has nothing to do with direct sales but as an RN there are actually some pretty lucrative work from home opportunities that you might want to look into if you're interested in using your education, just not having to deal with the commute. Two of these are working from home as a nurse auditor or a care advisor. Basically, you can use your knowledge to give advice remotely and get paid well to do it. One site I use to look for work-from-home jobs is FlexJobs, but there are SO many out there (and many that don't cost anything- FlexJobs requires a membership). Indeed is another place to look.
Their product lines also include girls and toddler/baby sizes. But here's the bad news: consultants only earn a 25% commission so if you sell around three pairs of leggings in an order you're only earning about $13. If you can hustle your products and remember that that's all of the work you really have to do unless you decide to also host trunk shows, then the potential to earn a steady side-income is there.
If you enjoy a glass of wine, meeting new people, and would like to learn about wines from around the world, your dream job is here! Traveling Vineyard offers a flexible, fun, and rewarding income. No sales quotas, no deliveries, and no inventory. Say yes to unlimited income potential, discounts on wine, travel incentives and much more! I lead a nationwide team of successful men and women that are wine enthusiasts, not experts, that know there is no better way to learn about wine then at FREE in-home wine tasting events! Take the next sip and contact me for more information on this top rated DSA company!
I have totally fallen in love with the personal connections you make at home parties and the far-reaching “ripple effect” of sharing our mission through the home party model (which is hilarious because I never even used to go to home parties). It’s also a super predictable way to conduct business since you generally know that if a hostess has 10 people show you’ll be walking away with a $700 or more party (that’s been huge in making this sustainable for my family). But I love that when a month is a little slower on the home party front that I can put together a couple of quick online shows or dig up a vendor event to make some fresh contacts. There are so many ways to work this business.
I’ve been a representative of juice plus for several months now. I love their product line of organic fruits, vegetables and grains made into super convenient capsules, gummies, shakes and bars. They make adding so many healthy foods into our bodies so easy and fun! I love seeing the outcomes of people who purchase and use juice plus. It makes them happier and healthier overall! Valerieneaves@juiceplus.com
I also didn’t see the company Le-vel on this long list of other amazing companies. Most people refer to le-vel products as THRIVE! I am a promoter of THRIVE and I am in love I use the product as well. It is FREE to promote you get credits for FREE product. I have also made over $1000 in commission! there are chances to get FREE vacations for two also the more you sell the more you can earn like a FREE car and they make the monthly payments for you! I have lost over 40lbs on this product but also feel amazing. I now get all the vitamins and minerals I need daily, along with cologne, and many many more amazing things check out my website and JOIN today for FREE!!
Pink Zebra is an amazing new company. They sell 100% soy candle wax that come in the form of small balls like dip and dots. You can make your own candles or burn them in warmers. I love this product and the fragrances last forever. I have so much fun with this company, and they have two different start up kits, $99 and $199. You should really come check out our company. http://www.pinkzebrahome.com/ForSchure or like me on Facebook and I can help you out https://www.facebook.com/SprinklesForSchure . They also sell lotions, hand soaps, patent pending diffusers, simmer pots and regular candles. They also offer fundraising options. Consultants make 25% and can make more as they move up.

The gift company Thirty-one was founded in 2003. They offer a huge number of attractive home organizing and personalized products including storage bins, purses and totes, wallets, lunch and picnic thermals, and customizable pillows and wall art. Consultants make 25 percent on every sale through face-to-face, online, and catalogue parties. Starter kits are $99. If you become a leader to new consultants, you'll earn a percentage of their commission as well. There's also a monthly subscription fee for a personalized website and emails to customers.
First, Elliot, thank you for this article. Your sense of truly wanting to help comes through and it’s refreshing. Like MommyFinance, I too have suffered PTSD from previous runs at MLM but I have been looking for legitimate ways of making extra income and seems I’m being directed toward trying MLM again. Your article gave me hope that there are some good ones out there. What you said about finding the one that fits me and leaving a legacy for family really turned on a light for me and I greatly appreciate that. A wine business is not quite up my alley but I will certainly direct those who might be interested your way.
Appreciate the hard work studying this… Im apart of the #1 company on there Advocare… have been for 7 years and one of the higher paid single guys in the nation… I just have to disagree with “over priced Products” comment. There is a mark up on every product in the world… Our products actually work which is why those endorsers you mentioned turn down high level incomes with other companies to endorse us for a stipend of products per month. Advocare has numerous people making a great profit and even more just enjoying a product they would pay double what they do for to feel the way they do. Success rate isnt low my friend… Its just the quit rate is through the roof. Highly recommend everyone seeing this and you sir to watch “Rise of the Entrepreneur” by Eric Worre on Itunes to get some serious facts about the MLM industry. Thanks for all the research and blessings!
In this industry, it takes more than an idea to be successful. It takes execution, and execution requires deep vertical knowledge. Vertical knowledge refers to a broad understanding of the nuances in this industry, only obtained through years of experience. Experienced leaders know how to avoid distraction, conserve resources, be encouraging yet firm with the field and, if necessary, know when and how to fight.

When you think about making money from home, one of the first things you need to decide is how much you want to make and how much time you have to give it. There’s a big difference between looking a full-time at-home job, running your own business on your own schedule, and doing one-off tasks that pay a little bit here and there. Let’s take a look at some of the things you can do at each of these levels of “commitment.”
Just about everyone loves a little extra sprinkle of goodness, a tasty touch that completes a dish. For us, it's all about the nibs. We love them on top of smoothies to add that extra crunch. What about you - how do you get your nibs on? 😂😘😜 . . #thecocoaexchange #madewithcocoa #chocolate #cacao #cocoa #chocolatelovers #recipe #homemade #nibs #showoffyournibs #smoothie #huffposttaste #buzzfeast #todayfood #bhgfood #foodandwine #forkyeah #buzzfeast #feedfeed #f52grams #lefooding #delish #foodie #foodwinewomen #foodgawker #buzzfeedfood #peoplefood #pbsfood #yahoofood

At the time of release for this article, not all companies in this list have released their 2017 earnings, therefore we’ve used the 2016 earnings that are available. For a few of the companies who have gone public with their 2017 stats, we’ve included that in their descriptions. When all companies have released their earnings we will uppdate this list.

Backstory: In 1999 Ginny left her full-time job in hospice management when the family moved from Arizona to Kansas so that Doug could take a new job. Bored one afternoon, she browsed through a Silpada catalog that belonged to her sister-in-law. "Halfway through, I already had a $350 wish list," she says. So Ginny decided to become a rep to earn some free bling and hopefully make friends. She took $1,000 from savings to purchase display jewelry, conservatively calculating that she'd need 12 parties to replenish the account. Her first party yielded $1,500 in sales, $450 each in commission and free jewelry, and six more bookings. Doug said, "Something tells me we've got a good thing going here."
A new project hitting the list, because it will have a huge following no matter what.  We know that crowds of affiliates from other MLMs will tail over to this company. Why? Well this is a BK Boreyko’s business, the same person who had just dealt with the FTC with Vemma.  And there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s planning to make another public attempt.
In the earlier 2000’s everyone in the network marketing industry new about ACN.  Accelerate time and land in 2017, the telecommunication strategy company has seen better days and has continued to decline over the last 5 years.  However, with $800+ million in yearly revenue still coming in, it’s not bad at all.  You can still call them a “has been” company and they have ultimately met their demise by a failing to update themselves.

MLM has stretched its sticky fingers out into just about every product market out there, so it’s kinda hard to do something new nowadays. But Jamberry Nails did it. Their adhesive, custom nail designs BLEW UP when they hit the direct sales floor. They built up an army of over 100,000 consultants in the time it takes most people to get a mediocre pay raise at their 9-5.

Well they were hot…this company was caught in the act and had some shade thrown their way after they were found to have been over-inflating their health products for consumer purchase.  But really though?  What company do you know that doesn’t do this in the MLM health industry? It seems like a common practice, even if its “just a bit,” so they are able to pay out commissions made.  Some perspective for the shade…their fiber product was 900% more costly than “leading alternatives” and their Trioten protein blend was 600% more pricey as well when comparing their products to companies such as Herbalife and Shaklee.
Excited to hear that Watkins is one of your faves. More n more I am loving my Watkins business and family. Our sign up in June is a mere 29.95 and that includes personalized website. You are free from there to do whatever you wish with no stressful monthly quotas or autoships. We are soon to celebrate 150 years in business - now that is legitimacy and longevity hard to match. Thanks for your article and your endorsement of Watkins!

I didn’t see Paparazzi Accessories listed and these ladies are missing out! I am an independent rep. for Paparazzi. We sell $5 jewelry and hair accessories along with a line for children at $1 a piece. Start up costs are anywhere from $40 to $300 or more. Businesses such as salons, boutique, etc. can sign up as well. You can check out more at http://www.paparazziaccessories.com/3702 and http://www.facebook.com/paparazzibyjenb
I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed in this post, however the idea behind this article was actually to come from the perspective of a stay-at-home mom so it is indeed an opinion and not necessarily a "fact based" article. You're right, from what I can find currently, the startup price to join It Works! is $99, not $100. I will update that in my article. I found that information on an unofficial It Works! blog called WrapItLoseIt.net where I read that the best starter package retails for $499. When I checked out the official It Works! website I was unable to locate any information directly from the company that indicates the actual startup costs of joining the company which I find frustrating as I'm sure others do as well. Would you mind posting a link to that here so others can find quick and clear information on It Works! without having to dig?

I thought this article was fantastic. I currently work with an MLM and love it, but I definitely can see why MLM’s would have flaws. However, I also know for me it wasn’t about selling as much as it was SHARING. I have experienced more than a product, I have been able to share the gift of health and the gift of the business itself. I absolutely love it and people who join me in this mission are as passionate as well! I believe when we look at really loving people where they are and actually caring, success will come and not the other way around. That’s the only way I’ve been able to see it happen! Any who, thanks for the tips!
The structure of MLMs is very similar to a pyramid scheme. This doesn’t mean that all MLMs are pyramid schemes, but some certainly are. Those interested in pursuing a career in multi-level marketing should do research before joining a particular MLM. Generally speaking, if the bulk of the money you stand to earn comes from recruitment rather than direct sales, it’s wise to be very cautious.
SeneGence is another great direct sales company. Only $55 to sell a liquid lipstick that lasts 4-18 hours and is smudge proof and waterproof. I've only been in it about 2 months and have had huge success. 20-50% profit and no monthly minimums. Find my group Logan's Lips on fb if you are interested in the product LipSense or in selling an amazing product that is super easy to sell because who doesn't want smudgeproof lipstick as well as tons of cruelty free and vegan anti aging skin care!
Start making money by promoting THE top brand in baby carriers that has been rapidly growing its store by including quality baby products parents can rely on. Ergobaby revolutionized how we carry babies back in 2002. Now, with their affiliate program you can refer sales and earn commissions! Do you wear your baby in an Ergo Carrier? If so, when friends ask about it, share your affiliate link with them!
Wow Collette! I’m a new Advocate with doTERRA, as is my wife. She wanted to start using oils to get our family off of medications as much as possible (and now we mostly are!) We chose doTERRA over all the other oils companies because of the process in which they farm and make their oils as well as the great culture they seem to exude. We just felt called to them.
