Jillian Chase is a US based company that is the brain child of a company that has been in business for more than fifty years with great success. With monthly promotions, bonuses, a fast start program and many levels to achieve even greater income level for everyone. Plus, you don’t have to deliver the product or be limited in where you sell. This company believes in providing the best in customer service and cares about the consultants who represent them. Not great at parties? That is okay, with Jillian Chase, you can sell individually or online. Yes, they have great rewards, too, for the Host or Hostess who does have the party. This company is very unique in that MEN really love the products. Take a look at the catalogue online and see why. Did I mention you don’t have to carry inventory? Also, your very first pieces will be customized just for you to use in your home and to share with family and friends. So, if you decide the company is not for you, there is no lost. You still keep the beautiful pieces at incredible savings.
Okay, if former presidential candidates wasn’t enough, this company even got a very popular American paper, the New York Times, to make some high profile endorsements.   Just shy of making it to the top 10 MLMs list, this company has some significant worth…let’s say about $3 billion dollars!  If you check them out on the stock exchange, you’ll see their growth rate is incredible.
Hi! I am an Independent Consultant for Rodan + Fields. I just joined a month ago. Our industry is skincare- and we are the number one skincare line. My favorite product is our unblemish regimen because I've seen people use it who've struggled with acne for years and tried endless amounts of products and unblemish is the only one that's worked for them. I chose this company because the products are incredible- I'd never sell something that didn't yield incredible results. This is definitely a company worth joining!!
It's only $10 to join, and if you want to buy a kit with inventory the price goes up from there, but not by much, and consultants earn 30% of sales. What I can't tell is whether you're able to sell straight from the site or if you're required to carry inventory, and my honest opinion is that you're not going to make a huge or steady income with this company because the product lines aren't refined enough to garner a cult following like some of the other direct sales companies out there. But I've added it to this list for three reasons:
This company is still able to shine through, even though they are in tough competition with other well-known competitors such as Mary Kay and Avon.  This company does promote their focus on having cruelty-free products for consumers and au natural ingredients, and from their stand point it looks like they could sling shot into the league of their rivals at any time.  You can anticipate to watch them enter the billion-dollar yearly revenue stream pretty soon!
I’m an Independent Consultant for Thirty One Gifts. Absolutely the best direct selling company I’ve been a part of. We celebrate women as well as family. The company also gives to charities. The incentives for New Consultants are wonderful! Please take a moment to check it out. $99 special to join with extra incentives going on now to help with the Holiday cash flow for you and your family. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact me at dwawhi@aol.com.
mlw831 thanks for sharing that insight! I'm actually sort of shocked that the Avon model is so...ancient? In my experience buying from direct sales companies, most makeup companies send the product directly to the customer and the representative simply does just that - represent, without holding any kind of inventory or having to do any travel other than parties they can plan in their own time (and they're not even necessary). Good info for anyone considering Avon who may not have the time or energy to hand deliver each order.

I thought That your article was very good. My wife recently joined this company called World Ventures and me being me I figured it would be like some of the other companies that she has joined. You know a bunch of women companies scentsy, 31, etc but the reason I took notice is when she made 500. I know it’s not much but i know if she can make that faster than she has with some of the others she has joined without my help then maybe this thing is the real deal. What do you know about it? I have met some of the people and they seem genuine unlike some of these others like Amway and I don’t feel like it’s all about freaking selling like most of the others. Just shoot it to me straight.
Many reps struggle because they don't treat their MLM like the business it is. For some reason, many MLM businesses are viewed and treated differently than a traditional business, which is a problem. It doesn't matter what business you start, if you don't market, sell, and do the activities that make money on a consistent basis, your business will fail.
Oh I understand it. No different than mine...except we are not capped at 180,000 a year. Our commissions are not capped at all...only our bonus cycles. Those are capped at $624,000 per year per business center. there are still levels...you get your two people that is level 1 they get their two people that is their level one your level two. Volume flows up 100 percent...well that is only fair. Who would want to be part of a MLM where everyone didn't have an equal opportunity to succeed and earn. Your earnings should be able to exceed that of your sponsor....if they can't, then it isn't really your own business is it? The thing is...my company doesn't promote deceitful practices...like telling people it isn't a multi level marketing business when it is. You can't earn unless you create one level (that is your two coaches) they can't earn unless they create one level....this creates many levels/layers. Call it what you want, but it is what it is and we do not deny it!

I just started selling for one of the top 15 and I went in knowing that this was just supplemental cash and nothing that would support my family. I spend 15 minutes (mostly from my phone) a day on my business and am happy with what I’ve done thus far. If it covers groceries and some extras like clothes or shoes, I’m good. If I start to become even more successful, great. It’s my competitive nature to want to out rank others, so I find it to be more of a personal challenge than thinking I’m going to get rich and stay rich. I appreciate the article and the no BS attitude.
Pink Zebra is an amazing new company. They sell 100% soy candle wax that come in the form of small balls like dip and dots. You can make your own candles or burn them in warmers. I love this product and the fragrances last forever. I have so much fun with this company, and they have two different start up kits, $99 and $199. You should really come check out our company. http://www.pinkzebrahome.com/ForSchure or like me on Facebook and I can help you out https://www.facebook.com/SprinklesForSchure . They also sell lotions, hand soaps, patent pending diffusers, simmer pots and regular candles. They also offer fundraising options. Consultants make 25% and can make more as they move up.
Looking for a unique direct sales opportunity? Look no further than Jamberry Nails. Available in essentially every color and pattern you can imagine, these nail applications will have everyone asking where you got them from. For $99 you receive a starter kit filled with sales tools, a cuticle pusher, files, hair dryer, buggers, scissors, business cards, nail sheets, 3 months of use on a personal website and more.
Founded in 1978, Forever Living Products is a multi-billion dollar MLM company with a presence in over 150 countries. Forever Living manufactures and sells dozens of exclusive, beneficial wellness products based on aloe vera. According to Forever Living, aloe enhances the body, inside and out, and its products ranging from age-defying facial treatments to delicious, antioxidant rich drinks.

It is sometimes in the best interest of a seller to avoid revealing the downsides of an MLM Program so as to build their down line faster. Take the time to read reviews published by other sellers or to ask them questions via social media or on message boards but remember that MLM sellers might not be entirely honest with you if they want to recruit you in their down line and boost their revenues.
Unlike many MLMs that sell products directly to consumers, Digital Altitude sells a business system to entrepreneurs in the form of courses and methods that teach them to effectively market their own companies. While many of the packages can cost thousands of dollars, Digital Altitude offers a $1 trial, making the risk to try its product very low for the consumer.

People who wonder why network marketing doesn’t work have likely also never joined the best MLM for them at the time or had great upline support and a team around them to get through the often frustrating first few months. Opportunities abound – even publicly traded multi-level marketing companies, who you would think are these huge businesses that give you no attention, have small teams and wonderful leaders to join. It’s just a matter of finding the top teams in the company you’re looking at.
This company seems really awesome to me as a busy mom because obviously you're not going to hold inventory or even parties (unless you're also going to market Gardenuity's small "Garden Inspired Living" line of teas, home decor and home fragrances). The stock seems seasonal, giving customers a reason to peek back each season to see what they can grow next. So, your compensation is based on your ability to market the brand/product and from there you'll earn a percentage of the sales. But what IS that percentage? It's not clear. I have a message into the Gardenuity customer service and will be back ASAP with an update.
I've been with Young Living for 2.5 years and thankfully have not experienced anything like what Beth posted above. My team is incredibly supportive and willing to share and help. You technically do not ever have to make a purchase after your initial purchase. However, to remain an active member to receive the wholesale discount, you need to make a $50 purchase within a year of your initial order. Of course there's more to it than ordering $50/year if you want to build a business, but there aren't any secrets or hidden fees.
I’d like to point out a few things: statistically something like 96% of businesses fail within the first 5-10 years, which is a much more impactful loss, both financially and time wise, than the few hundred dollars one puts into whatever product they’re using in MLM. So realistically the success rate as a “self employed business owner” with MLM is probably a bit better than it is with launching a traditional business, or at least consistent with it. It takes discipline and tenacity that many people don’t have- that’s why they chose to remain employees in the first place.

I thought I would include Alliance in Motion because it has the most votes by the public over at BusinessForHome with 10,308 votes, but not only that, I want to include this company because it’s based out of the Philippines, which is the fastest growing country for MLM, with 31.3 percent growth and 1.0 Billion in sales based on data from MLMLeads.com.
comes down to leadership and the individual. I even changed teams to find the right mentor and coaching when I knew I was struggling. I found a team that trains people to be some network marketing professionals, and really the math is simple and anyone can make residual income if they do it correctly. The problem is people sign everyone up they can and then most drop out. You only want to work with those that are committed to do the work and be able to work closely with them until they are a developed leader. In all actuality ssigning everyone up as an associate is against the rules and a big no no. Having customers benefits everyone and in most business models like the one I’m with I make more commission off customers than associates that aren’t working.

Simply You touts itself as a fun, fashionable, affordable jewelry company. With a $199 starter kit, you’ll receive goodies that value over $1,000, including 20 pieces of jewelry, your own website, online retailing, e-newsletters for customers, annual national convention opportunities and ongoing training programs. You can also get an additional supplement kit with 9 pieces of jewelry for $99.
Direct Sales— This is one of the most common ways of making money for stay-at-home moms. Direct selling is simply selling another person’s product or service to receive a percentage of the sale (commission). This has enormous potential, and can easily help you earn money online. A word of caution though — before you join any business opportunity, investigate the company, make sure the product is available and reliable, and ensure you have a good knack for selling. Stella & Dot is one of my favorite direct sales opportunities.

Hi! I didn’t see Legging Army on this list. Legging Army became an affiliate company one year ago in February 2016. We offer quality leggings, fleece, fur leggings, shorts, maxis, skirts, capri’s, hoodies, and more. Our original leggings are 92% polyester and 8% spandex. They are the same material as other companies but for a lower price. Our shipping is free in the US and tax is included in the list prices. Its an amazing company and growing fast. The company gives us our website free and there are no minimums. Start up is a low $10 for no leggings, $19.99 for one pair and $29.99 for 2 pairs. We make 25% commissions, a $5 bonus for signing up affiliates, and 5% sub-affiliate commissions. Join me. It’s an amazing company to work with. Please email if you have more questions. I’d love to help.

Great post! I have started with a new company called Sexydivalingerieparties.com. I love it so far. The people are very helpful and they have great incentives. Not only is a ground floor opportunity but we have so many great products from Lingerie, Plus sized lingerie, Adult games and toys. Please feel free to check it out or if you want more info can contact me! Thanks!
Six months later, I seriously am astounded at my business (or even just the fact that I have one, since I only intended it as a hobby for sixty days or so). I've made at least $300 each month since I started, and three of those months I made over$1,000 (not to mention bonuses and free products). I am so not spammy, I'm not into begging or pressuring people to have parties, and I still don't even consider myself a sales person. I do love helping people connect with products that will help them reach whatever their goals are in the kitchen (from heating up canned food, to creating a beautiful charcuterie platter). I find that I don't have to sell the products, really - guests share with each other when they talk about what they use and love. And mostly, my bookings come from my parties. (I got four new bookings from the last party I had this month. I guess people have fun!)
Young Living Essential Oils is a seed to seal company. Oils that are organically grown and then steam and distilled for the highest grade. I offer incentives with a sign up with me. Thank You
Hi Jesse, That does help some…thanks for answering my questions. My other questions are: I am not connected with nearly as many people as it sounds like you are. How can I be successful in this business? Also, morally I struggle with charging someone more money for something that they can get somewhere else? I know…not much of a business acumen. Lol thanks,

Writing – Whether it is blog content, articles, or business letters, this way of monetizing your skills has become quite common. Micro-job sites like Fiverr allow you to post your skills as “gigs” that you sell for a price, usually a few dollars. Sites like Freelancer and Upwork are “business to consumer” sites where sellers are linked with buyers. Most of the time jobs are awarded based on skills, qualification, buyer needs, and bids made by the seller (you, the freelancer) to get the buyer’s work done. Other sites screen you by requiring you to provide a sample before you are graded and placed in the appropriate writer level based on your writing skill.

MaryAnne, I would recommend finding a product that you LOVE, a product that you feel can benefit the people around you and who you feel integrity with. You want to find their products useful so that you will feel good about buying them every month and want to share them with other. It is a business, but you also want to be able to have fun with it too
My Gorski Wellness team represents Shaklee nutrition. We work with others to help them navigate their way through the supplement world and natural health choices. Shaklee provides an opportunity to join my team and help others with their health all while working around the schedule of a busy family. You can make a difference in someone’s health and build a future for yourself and your family.
The interviews and psychological connections lead me to conclude that MLM and NM companies, along with other small businesses opportunities, are important considerations for anyone entering retirement.  In fact, I believe the concept of starting a business for retirement income will become one of the most significant trends impacting retirement in the 21st century.  But it has to start with redefining entrepreneurship and framing it into a retirement lifestyle.  That means helping people find ways to turn a passion, hobby, or personal desire into extra money in their pocket… not to mention helping people see the importance of  planning for the non-financial aspects of retirement such as replacing a work identity, staying relevant and connected, as well as keeping mentally and physically fit.
Diets…fad diets, new diets, old diets…it’s an endless story especially in the 2000’s, and this company is one of those companies.  The FDA had a run-in with these guys and they are not in the greatest standings with the BBB either, which seem to be the norm with weight loss pills of the “magical results” variety.   Well the good news for this business is that they’ve managed to keep trending for 5 years (that’s a pretty good streak), and the company reps are earning a colossal 50% in commissions.

Yes, you might want to learn the overview of it so you’re knowledgable and understand how your checks are getting formulated, but I’ve met too many successful networkers who can’t explain comp plans to spend any real time on them. When people ask questions, I refer them to the documentation that’s available and ask them if they’re ready to start a business they can work from home – even online in most cases.
Hey Jesse, you forgot about Primerica! My brother makes a lot of money with them and he’s only been there 6 years and he makes $8-10 Grand a month now! Kindve wish I would’ve started with him when he first joined because the company does have great concepts and just recently was named one of Forbes top 50 trustworthy companies! That’s awesome! I didn’t have the time to commit then but I just got rolling 2 months ago and I’ve made $900 this month and will be over a grand once I help this next family get a policy in place! I so wish I would’ve got started years ago!
It’s so mom friendly, almost every consultant is a mom because they fell in love with these books for their kids!  Moms bring nursing babies to our annual convention, they bring babies to parties, etc.  But the best part is, it is what you make of it- if your kid is sick and you can’t focus on the business for a few days, okay, you’ll do it when you can.
I spent about 3 years selling Amway back in the 70’s. There was a lot of hype but I made enough money to achieve several of my more modest financial goals. I went on to use some of what I learned to make extra money in various ventures and eventually started a small business out of my home. The business grew until mainstream retailers began offering the same product I was selling at comparable prices. The MLM as a learning tool has some value as long as the product is decent. This MLM ranking is a good way to attract attention and I am curious about Your service. I am selective about what I spend my time and effort on.
A big hello to everyone! I just launched a home based biz last month that had tremendous success my first month!! It was founded in 2005, but is mostly based on the east coast and just now moving west. When I came upon the website I was mesmerized that women could custom design their own handbags. To think that they could walk away from a party with a custom item to their taste and be proud of it was really appealing to me. In addition, all the handbags are made in the USA one purse at a time so it supports our economy. In my first month I was #3 in personal sales in the company and two women joined me. I believe that’s a true testimony to this ground floor opportunity and that women love customizing handbags. Please visit my website madisonhandbags.net/janagates/ I would love to answer any questions for you and help you in being the first to launch your market area as well. : )
Mark. is a beauty and fashion boutique that touts itself as having fresh and on-trend products. They have everything from makeup to bath and body to hair care to fashion. For $99, you receive a collection of beauty products and samples, fashion accessories, magalogs, invitations, order forms, thank you cards and a mark. tote to get your business started.
These brothers from Israel changed the minds of the entrepreneurs behind the company, Seacret Direct, when they managed to take the typical start up business from the kiosk (you know those booths in the mall) to the beyond and turned it into a global direct selling company worth millions of dollars.  These skincare product companies are pretty boring these days, but the company’s dead sea products originate with a 5,000-year-old history and a huge fan following.
To join NYR Organic in February – kit is $80 with worth of $400+ products, plus shipping and tax, which is around $104. Usuallt the kit is $149. To stay active all you have to do is purchase once every 12 months $100 worth of product. No monthly sales requirements and you will have 25% off all the products. Check out my website and contact for more details.
This can seem like an overwhelming task initially. Just because of the sheer volume of direct sales companies that are out there. Let's break it down into an easier task. I've found over the years from my own personal experience, as well as talking with 100's of other men and women in direct sales that by asking yourself certain questions, you can narrow down your search immensely. And take your time – mull it over. Sleep on it.
I would be thrilled to answer any follow-up questions from mamas who are interested in doing what I do! MLM restructures the traditional business model — manufacturer to retail shop to customer — such that sales agents working for the manufacturer sell directly to customers, bypassing the retail shop altogether. MLM companies can then convert customers into advocates for their products and possibly even sales agents. Because there is no retail store for the products they sell, MLM agents typically work from their homes, interacting with customers in the community or, more often, over the internet.

Excited to hear that Watkins is one of your faves. More n more I am loving my Watkins business and family. Our sign up in June is a mere 29.95 and that includes personalized website. You are free from there to do whatever you wish with no stressful monthly quotas or autoships. We are soon to celebrate 150 years in business - now that is legitimacy and longevity hard to match. Thanks for your article and your endorsement of Watkins!
Loved the article! I am an independent representative for Jamberry. I noticed you said they are expensive at $15 a sheet. Many people don't know that one sheet is enough to do two manicures, two pedicures, and accent nails. So really $15 is way cheaper than going to the salon. Also if you buy 3 sheets you get one sheet for free so it's an even better deal! I'm totally addicted to them and so is my little girl. They also carry gel and hand/foot care products. Thanks so much for writing such an informative article.
I chose this company after 2 months of intense research. With a family of 5 I couldn't take an uncalculated risk:) The opportunity here was literally endless and undiniable and I wasn't afraid of the challenge to learn something new. I met in person people of all ages from across the world who were earning a great monthy income. I realized that the products are universal and I was also able to grow my art company online (Double bonus) from what I'd learned. I started eaning residual money in just two weeks from starting.
Hi Jeimy. Fuxion is an excellent company. Fuxion is a Peruvian company that is spread in 12 countries, including the US. Randy Gage has decided to join Fuxion as a networker 2 weeks ago! Robert Kiyosaki and John Maxwell are current Fuxion’s advisors. Fuxion’s nutraceutical products are made of fruits and vegetables from the Amazon region, Andean region, Central America and Asia. The company is in its best moment. So I recommend you to join us!
If you're a weirdo like me who gets excited about a great deal on microfiber cloths, or feels the warm fuzzies while filling up a rustic galvanized bucket with chemical free suds, then you're going to love Norwex. From dryer balls and mattress sprays to chenille mop pads and cutting boards made from rice husks, Norwex's home and personal products offer something earth-friendly for everyone in your green-centric circle.
Then what? After training, teens consult with their mentors for a year, corresponding twice a month. "It's not just about business," says Nakia. "They cultivate life skills like goalsetting, decision-making and money management." The objectives mesh perfectly with the company's mission to empower women of color, and Soul Purpose is rolling out the ESPY mentoring program nationwide. "This prepares teens for the future," Nakia says. "I was a teen mom who struggled at times to make ends meet. I believe in teaching kids how to become financially independent."
Before launching Omnilife and becoming a billionaire, Jorge Vergara sold street tacos in Mexico, smuggled Herbalife supplements into Mexico, and sweet talked the Mexican government into changing their regulations in the nutritional products sector. This guy could make a movie about his life and it would probably win an Academy Award (he’s actually a major film producer on the side, casual).
Two of the most important things you’ll need for MLM is passion and determination. Many people start working for an MLM company because they think it’s the next get-rich-quick scheme, and they’ll be able to make money without any effort. While MLM is an excellent way to work smarter rather than harder, it does still require effort on your end. To establish a strong team of downline distributors, it’s critical that you demonstrate a passion for the company and its products.

I am currently a LegalShield associate (but not active) and have previously been involved with USANA. I was very recently approached about another opportunity with Shopping Sherlock. The video presentation looks interesting and it also seems like an affiliate-type program. I’m giving it some consideration. However, there’s a one-time fee of $249 plus a monthly membership fee of $34.95. Any thoughts or knowledge of this business?
I’ve written ad nauseum about the idea of offering special, confidential deals with “elite” networkers. Confidential deals occur when a company provides extra incentives to lure experienced networkers from another company. The incentives take many forms, but usually involve up-front money, preferred placement in the genealogy, enhanced earning potential in the pay plan, etc. If you look historically at the companies that have been aggressive with deals, theres always a massive POP followed by a massive DROP. Who gets hurt? The average distributors that signed up under the pretenses of joining the “next hot thing.”
Good question, but the precise answer is unknown. It is a unknown because every week, some companies go out of business and others launch. There is no up-to-date listing of them all. Any list you may find excludes companies in business and includescompanies that are no longer in business. I have heard over the years that there are between 700 and 1,500 active MLM companies in the USA. If you are thinking about joining a company as a representative, read this…

Blogging— I love blogging! It offers you a great outlet to share your ideas with the world, and there are lots of ways you can “monetize” your blog and develop income streams, which means your income potential is basically unlimited. Blogging does require work and you’ll need to learn a lot (either on your own or through a course), but it’s really popular with moms for good reasons.
An analysis of 32 income disclosure statements from direct selling companies by TruthInAdvertising.org found that 80 percent of distributors, or people selling their products, grossed less than $1,200 per year before expenses. At about half of those companies, the majority of distributors made no money at all. "Given that context, any income claim that expressly states or implies that this is a way for someone to gain financial freedom, to become wealthy, travel the world, become a stay-at-home parent is just false and deceptive," says Bonnie Patten, executive director for TruthInAdvertising.org.
