There are haters and there are devout followers of Rodan and Fields products but it's undeniable that this company is booming. It originated in department stores but was pulled nearly a decade ago and converted to a direct-sales company. If it sounds familiar that's because Rodan and Fields is the same company that created and sold the Proactiv line (which was personally heaven-sent for my crappy post-high school skin. Though I no longer need to use it, I credit the product with my now scar-free skin).
One of the best skincare products in and outside of MLM, no doubt. They were founded by a couple dermatologists, and they used to be an upscale department store brand before entering the world of network marketing. Rodan and Fields created Proactiv, which ended up being one of the most famous skincare products of all time (and a hero-in-a-bottle for every middle schooler who’s ever been called pizza-face). Just this one product line is nearing $1 billion in annual sales.
The gift company Thirty-one was founded in 2003. They offer a huge number of attractive home organizing and personalized products including storage bins, purses and totes, wallets, lunch and picnic thermals, and customizable pillows and wall art. Consultants make 25 percent on every sale through face-to-face, online, and catalogue parties. Starter kits are $99. If you become a leader to new consultants, you'll earn a percentage of their commission as well. There's also a monthly subscription fee for a personalized website and emails to customers.

I get excited about them and it shows. 90% of the women who try them on, end up buying them because they love them. So find something you LOVE and not something just to sell.

I am very interested in this. My only concern, which others have expressed as well, is that I have been “burned” by other companies that say it’s as easy as cutting and pasting – GWP to be exact. AFTER signing up, I found out that you have to get a domain name because anything with Get Weekly Paychecks or whatever that auto club’s name wasm would get blocked on social media and on other websites. I know this is different but it’s still a “simple cut ‘n paste” system. Are there any possible “complications” that I should be made aware of BEFORE signing up? Is there a 30-day satisfaction period?
Connie, I thank you for all of that updated information on Avon, it's really helpful! My favorite thing to hear in all of this though is that Avon offers health benefits. That is amazing! And something that stay-at-home moms should really consider when choosing a company, because that is a major day-to-day factor for so many of us. Awesome to hear.
2. The compensation plan is the best I’ve seen and it’s made vary easily for members (especially the new ones) to see results short and long term. And it’s actually very easy to post photos from your travelings and ask people out when they constantly ask “how are you traveling so much!?” The system is binary which means that people signed up from people above you come in your team as well. That reduces compensation and rivalries between us and we work together as one.
Right now, as I type this, my two-year-old is sitting next to me eating a giant bowl of Cheerios for dinner because I've spent the entire day working from home and still have to start dinner. She's covered from chest to knees in milk that's making its way onto the woven blanket I've carefully tucked around our couch cushions for exactly this reason. So, add "wash couch blanket and the toddler" to my list of things to do tonight, on top of dinner. And dishes. I'm busy, and I'm tired, and I'm juggling like ten things at any given time while also trying to pull in some extra income. It's a crunch, right? Direct Sales— This is one of the most common ways of making money for stay-at-home moms. Direct selling is simply selling another person’s product or service to receive a percentage of the sale (commission). This has enormous potential, and can easily help you earn money online. A word of caution though — before you join any business opportunity, investigate the company, make sure the product is available and reliable, and ensure you have a good knack for selling. I hardly feel like I chose Trades of Hope at all. It more or less chose me. I was a stay at home mom to two baby girls – ages 3 and 9 months at the time – when I started to feel like I hit some sort of wall. I love how everyone I have interacted with in my Upline are so driven by a purpose much bigger than amassing wealth! After almost 20 years of business experience (corporate sales & real estate), I can proudly say that I’ve never worked in such an edifying & encouraging environment. I can’t remember even 1 of my former bosses sitting down with me to chart a plan to bring me up to their level or even to take their current spot on the corp ladder – too much insecurity in that world & after all only 1 person makes it to the top of that pyramid.
